  9. MICRONET REDUCES COST ON WIDE RANGE OF
  10. SCSI DATA STORAGE SYSTEMS

  12. MicroNet Technology announces new pricing to their dealers, effective February
  13. 15, 1990, on most of their SCSI data storage products that are compatible with
  14. the Macintosh family.  The new prices reduce the cost of internal and external
  15. hard disk drive subsystems ranging from 20 MB to 2,022 MB, 45 MB removable
  16. cartridge and 150 and 320 MB tape backup systems.  The lower costs are a
  17. results of successful volume negotiations with major vendors along with growth
  18. and production improvements.

  20. The suggested retail price of the MR-45 SyQuest removable cartridge system
  21. dropped $300 to $1,195; the MP-40p portable hard drive dropped $206 to $789;
  22. the MP-20, 30 and 46 transportable hard drives dropped $50 each to $589, $639
  23. and $689 respectively; the SE-200x internal hard drive dropped $100 to $2,100;
  24. the IIcx/ci-173 internal hard drive dropped $100 from $2,245 to $2,145; the
  25. IIcx/IIci-404 internal hard drive dropped $300 to $4,395; the SB-330 external
  26. hard drive dropped $200 to $4,195; the SB-1000 external hard drive dropped
  27. $1,155 to $9,195.

  34. purchase", stated Charles F. McConathy, President of MicroNet.  "Our SCSI
  35. utility software is 32 bit clean now and it will be upgraded to support the new
  36. features of System 7.0 when it is shipped later this year", stated McConathy.
